The Cans4Films Festival returns for 2009, and is again committed to providing hunger relief for thousands of Australians across the country.
Cans4Films has again partnered with Network Video stores in offering a consumer driven charity event which not only raises awareness of the need for hunger relief, but also provides tangible aid in the form of donated cans of food to be given to those who need it the most.
The Cans4Films Festival is simple: throughout the month of August, Network customers come into their local participating store and donate cans of food in exchange for free movie rentals. It really is that easy!
In 2008, Network stores and customers donated more than 60,000 cans of food during the Cans4Films Festival, all of which went directly to charities providing hunger relief. This year Cans4Films has a renewed focus on helping local communities and charities, with all donated cans going back into each store’s local community. Integral to that goal is our charity partner The Salvation Army, who will be distributing all the donated cans to local hunger relief centres across the country.
Cans4Films, Network Video, The Salvation Army and our associated partners are proud to bring you our unique charity event that makes such a difference to the lives of needy Australians in every corner of the nation.
